Can you imagine a day, a week, or how about a month without eating Sugar?  Well, I did it and so can you! Inf act, I’m on my 2nd year of “Sari’s 30 Day Sugar Detox Challenge,”  I look great,and  feel  amazing everyday!

I used to be addicted to sugar. I over ate cookies, donuts, ice cream…anything that had a fat sugar combination. I just couldn’t get enough. I felt out of control. I was miserable at the way I was mistreating my body.

I knew I needed to make a change.

So I decided to  do a 30 day sugar detox challenge.
I didn’t know if I would be able to make it- but I was extremely determined-yet terrified at the same time. Was I ready to say by-by to my beloved chocolate chip cookies and gooey babka cake? Was I ready to give up on my sinful sugar binges?

I didn’t know if I was ready to say good bye to the yummy satisfaction that sugar brings, but I knew I was absolutely ready to say farewell forever to my mood swings…brain fogged feeling…binging and feeling out right horrible!

I over came my Sugar Addiction with a simple healthy approach that anyone can do.

I formatted how I sugar detoxed. I now lead sugar detox groups and have helped hundreds kick their sugar habit.
Here are 7 of  my most important tips  on how to get started on “Saris Sugar 30 Day Sugar Detox Challenge”

1. Mark your calendar for your start and end date. (30 days)
Yes- you can do this over the holidays!
Just stay strong with determination everyday. You will be so happy when you won’t have any weight to loose come the new year.

2. Get rid of any refined sugars and white flour foods that can be a temptation to you.
If you need to bake  for the holidays- bake items that you DON’T like.
If someone sends you a sugared dessert that you love- give it away!

3. Never leave your home hungry
– especially if your going to a party.

4. Eat lots of protein
– such as beans, fish and chicken.
Include  whole grains, fresh vegetables,fruits and nuts.

5. Omit anything that has the word sugar or refined white flour in it.
Other names of sugar to be wary of are:  Brown Sugar, Corn Syrup, Dextrose, Fructose, Galactose, Glucose, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Honey,Maple Syrup…their are many more!

6. Eat every 3-4 hours- no matter what!

7.  Be prepared for a sugar attack at all times!
Carry a healthy snack such as almonds and an apple, or carrots with humus, with you for when temptation arises.
