I just bought a muffin pan which had a label on top, how do I remove the glue?

I removed the label on top of my new muffin pan and there is in some places a bit of glue and paper stuck. I just can’t seem to peel it off. Any ideas?
I live in the caribbean so I can’t buy any glue remover. Any simple ideas? ie. rubbing alcohol or something I can find around the house?

Try a little cooking oil. It may just loosen things up.

If that does not work, fill the bottom of the pan with dish-washing liquid and warm water and let it soak for an hour or two.

When you do try to remove the glue and paper, kind of push against it with your thumb — go at it from the side of where the paper is, so you actually start pushing just before the glue/paper, then push onto the glue/paper and that may help get things started.

do I have to have muffin top pans to make muffin tops?

My son wants me to make muffin tops today, but I don’t have the special pan, is there another way to make them? What if I made the batter a little thicker then normal muffins? Any ideas?

Just make regular muffins and then cut the bottoms off.

How do I make muffin tops with a regular muffin tin?

I love the tops of muffins and would like to try make them. However, I don’t have the special muffin top pan, just the regular muffin tins. Does anyone know how I can make the muffin tops with them? Do I just use less batter?

To make muffin top with a regular muffin tin, the muffins would have to be baked so they mushroom over the top and then tops are sliced off using a knife.

Wild Blueberry Muffin Tops

1 (18.2 ounce) package Betty Crocker Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg

Preheat oven to 425 degrees (or 400 degrees for dark or nonstick pan).
Drain Blueberries; rinse and set aside.

Stir Muffin Mix, water, oil and egg in medium bowl just until blended (batter may be lumpy).

Gently stir in blueberries.

Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until edges and tops begin to brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet.

Are hamburger bun pans and muffin top pans the same?

I need to bake hamburger buns…

I have a muffin top pan and I bake my hamburger buns with it all the time. They come out really nice. Mine is large each cavity is 4″ across. It really isn’t the same pan though. I think the hamburger bun pans have more straight up and down sides. I haven’t seen one for several years.
A lot of bakeries now just bake the buns on a flat sheet pan. The sides of the bun aren’t nearly as rounded and nice on them though.
