Secret Number 1 Remember the old adage, ‘A place for everything and everything in its place.’  Well apply this not only to your desk but your whole house.  There should be one place for keys, backpacks, winter coats, bills and library books.  You don’t need to go crazy and spend tons of money on bins and boxes to organize stuff – use containers you already have and label then with a marker.  When the kids drop their backpacks in the middle of the room, tell them to pick them up and put them in their “place”.  Do this until it becomes a habit.

Go through your own things as well. If you’re not using it and haven’t in quite a while, someone else might be able to use it.

Secret Number 4 Meal Plan. Plan a weeks worth of meals ahead of time.  This will save you cooking and shopping time. Plan your meals ahead of time. Doing this one thing can save you money, time and headaches. You can also save money by matching what you need with coupons. You’ll save yourself headaches by not having to run to the store in the middle of the week to pick up something you don’t have.
